It is the school’s policy to assign homework to all elementary students. Homework is designed to assist students in achieving specific educational goals. Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. There will be no homework on Fridays unless the student has failed to complete his/her homework or class work during the week. The following schedule will be used in assigning homework:
PreK-4 and Early Kindergarten Two nights a week / 10 to 15 minutes per night
Kindergarten Monday - Thursday / 20 to 30 minutes per night
First Grade Monday - Thursday / 30 to 45 minutes per night
Second Grade Monday - Thursday / 45 to 60 minutes per night
Third Grade Monday - Thursday / 15 minutes in each subject per night
Forth Grade Monday - Thursday / 15 to 20 minutes in each subject per night
Fifth Grade Monday - Thursday / 20 to 25 minutes in each subject per night
Sixth Grade Monday - Thursday / 20 to 25 minutes in each subject per night
