DRESS
AND APPEARANCE CODE
Mendham Country Day School has a Dress Code for all
students from Pre-K through sixth grade. School is a place for serious academic
work: comportment and appearance should reflect that. One's appearance reflects
not only on the individual but on the community, as well. Therefore, it is
reasonable for the community to define certain expectations for the personal
appearance of its individual members.
We have tried to make things as simple as possible by
providing you with a single source for all items. Land's End is the only
company authorized to reproduce the school logo on clothing. However, any item
without the logo can be purchased at your favorite store. It is not necessary
to have all shirts and sweaters embroidered with the school logo but each
student should have several items with the logo. All shoes must have rubber
soles. Backpacks and lunch bags/boxes should be simple, free of advertisement
and for safety reasons, only the school logo or the child's initials.
From October 1st through April 31st the regular school uniform
will be in affect.
The summer uniform may be worn during the month of September and starting May 1st, until the end of the
school year.
Check with Land's End or their catalog (Click Here For Girls Uniforms and Click Here For Boys Uniforms)
for sizes and ordering information. If you order from "Lands End",
please use the Preferred School Number, which is, 9000-4616-0.
Any questions regarding the Dress Code, please call the school office.
Remember, the key to the success of any Dress Code
is proper compliance and enforcement. Please help your child understand the
importance of proper dress and appearance for school.
