Academic Success

All students in kindergarten through sixth grade take standardized tests in the spring of each year.  On average our students score above the 90th percentile.  We offer after school test prep classes as well as tutoring in various subject areas.

Each grade level offers an advanced placement program which allows gifted students to work above grade level and achieve greater academic instruction and success.

Academic Program

The school sets a high standard of academic excellence and its students are expected to acquire the knowledge and skills that the school believes to be important. Mendham country Day School graduates are expected to have the basic competence in English language and literature, mathematics, history, science, one foreign language, and the arts. 

Small classes, with an average of 14 students, provides a close student-faculty relationship. Academic reports are sent to parents with teacher's comments and grades, three times a year and interim notices are sent home three times a year. Parent conferences are held once in the Fall and once in the Spring.
