0170“I love the uniforms – makes getting the kids dressed in the morning easy and they look great!” Jen, mother of 4th grader and 1st grader
“We get to wear regular clothes on some Fridays, so I get to wear outfits I like.”  Maya, 4th grade (daughter of Jen)

Mendham Country Day School has a Uniform Dress Code for all students in PreK-3 through 6th grade. School is a place for serious academic work; comportment and appearance should reflect that. One’s appearance reflects not only the individual but the community as well. Therefore, it is reasonable for the community to define certain expectations for the personal appearance of its individual members.           We have tried to make things as simple as possible by providing you with a single source for all items. Land’s End is the only company authorized to reproduce the school’s logo on clothing. However, any item without the logo can be purchased at your favorite store. It is not necessary to have all shirts and sweaters embroidered with the school logo, but each student should have several items that do have the logo. All shoes must have rubber soles. Backpacks and lunch bags/boxes should be simple, free of advertisement and for safety reasons, only the school logo or the child’s initials.

From October 1st through April 31st the regular school uniform will be in effect. The summer uniform may be worn during the month of September and from May 1st to the end of the school year.

Check with Land’s End or their catalog for sizing and ordering information. If you order from Land’s End please use the “Preferred School Number” which is 9000-4616-0. If you have any questions regarding the Dress Code please call the school office.

Remember, the key to the success of any Dress Code is proper compliance and enforcement. Please help your child to understand the importance of proper dress and appearance for school.
